The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board has scheduled three (III) oral hearings for the month of January, as listed below. The hearings will be held in the East Wing of the Madison Building, in Alexandria, Virginia. Briefs and other papers for these cases may be found at TTABVUE via the links provided.



January 5, 2016 - 10 AM: In re Booking.com B.V., Serial Nos. 85485097 et al. [Refusals to register BOOKING.COM, in standard character, stylized, and design form, for travel reservation services in classes 39 and 43 on the ground of genericness and, alternatively, mere descriptiveness].  

January 12, 2016 - 11 AM: In re Brookwood Funding, LLC, Serial No. 86162901 [Section 2(d) refusal of the mark BROOKWOOD LOANS for "Consumer lending services in the form of online, lump-sum, unsecured loans of $5,000 or less to individual consumers, specifically excluding investment banking services and other services to corporate clients" [LOANS disclaimed], in view of the registered mark BROOKWOOD ASSOCIATES for "Investment banking services" [ASSOCIATES disclaimed]. 

January 26, 2016 - 2 PM: In re iArchives, Inc., Serial No. 85598798 [Refusal to register the mark iArchives & Design for "Conversion of data or documents from physical to electronic media; Digitization of documents," due to applicant's failure to comply with a requirement that it disclaim the merely descriptive term "iArchives"].
