TTAB Posts October 2007 Hearing Schedule

The TTAB has scheduled six hearings for the month of October, as listed below. The hearings will be held in the East Wing of the Madison Building. October 9, 2007 - 10 AM: In re Healthcare Distribution Mgmt. October 16, 2007 - 11 AM: Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. v. Wilcox, Opposition No. 91161969 [Opposition to registration of the mark RITZ for art gallery services on the ground of likelihood of confusion with, dilution of, and Section 2(a) false connection with Opposer's RITZ marks for a broad array of goods and services].

October 18, 2007 - 2 PM: In re Hotels.com, L. P., Serial No. 78277681 [genericness refusal of HOTELS.COM for "providing information for others about temporary lodging; travel agency services ..."; rejection of alternative Section 2(f) claim of acquired distinctiveness (if the term is not generic)]. October 23, 2007 - 2 PM: Pramil, S.R.L. v. Farah, Cancellation No. 92032341 [Section 2(d) Petition for cancellation of a registration for the mark OMIC PLUS for cosmetics and skin care products based upon Petitioner's alleged prior use of the mark OMIC for cosmetics and skin care products].

October 24, 2007 - 2 PM: Bose Corp. v. GoldWave, Inc., Opposition No. 91165449 [Section 2(d) opposition to the mark GOLDWAVE for computer software for audio editing, based upon the registered marks WAVE and ACOUSTIC WAVE for radios, audio systems, and other audio devices].
